The Daily News-Sun (Sun City, AZ) (6/3) reported, "A recent survey has found that 52 percent of drivers don't know their tires are bald and 55 percent have at least one under-inflated wheel. And with triple-digit temperatures arriving, that's a dangerous combo, according to AAA Arizona and the Rubber Manufacturers Association, which conducted the survey." AAA expects "it will respond to more than 123,000 calls for roadside assistance in Arizona from June 1 to Aug. 31 this year, with more than 18,200 -- or nearly 15 percent -- of those calls being for tire-related service."
